Recently there have been number of reports stating attacks on small businesses and that the police reports that the Cyber warfare has developed a new strategy and is slowly evolving. Why the sudden step? The logical explanation to this is simple.
When a new hacker wants to come in to the business of cyber extortion, he needs to have practice. Dummy sets up will not suffice and the best way to gain experience is to attack these small scale businesses where the security is less and the risk is comparatively less as well. Also there is reward as well which may not be high but the monetary benefit is something better than nothing.
